The
sapwood of walnut is creamy white, while the
heartwood is light brown to dark chocolate
brown, occasionally with a purplish cast and
darker streaks. The wood develops a rich patina
that grows more lustrous with age. Walnut is
usually supplied steamed, to darken sapwood. The
wood is generally straight-grained, but
sometimes with wavy or curly grain that produces
an attractive and decorative figure. This
species produces a greater variety of figure
types than any other. |

The Designer
Collection

our finest floor, selected for uniformity of color and
grain. It has very few knots and streaks and is backed
by a 30-year finish warranty.
Black
Walnut has a beautiful chocolate brown color with
occasional pieces that are even darker. Sapwood in
walnut can feature some pieces that are soft white,
creating a beautiful contrast. Zickgraf's Black Walnut
hardwood flooring is an excellent choice for its
durability and aesthetically pleasing, rich masculine
color and style.
The Town & Country
Collection
offers more natural character with a variegated look
backed by a 20-year finish warranty. This product
displays natural wood characteristics including knots,
streaks and unique grain patterns.
Both
the Designer Collection and the Town & Country
Collection are available in: 2-1/4", 3", 4" and 5"
widths. Also available unfinished. |

requesting is one for which we have low quantities in
our warehouse; A product which we don't
currently have in stock or; A "special order"
item. In these instances, the price will be adjusted to our cost, rather
than a "fixed" or "set" high price. This is because
the hardwood market fluctuates sometimes daily.
